‘Last Comic Standing’ Returns To NBC With Wanda Sykes

NBC is bringing back “Last Comic free comedy movies to watch Standing.” The reality competition series will return next summer for an eighth season with Wanda Sykes serving as executive producer according to The Hollywood Reporter.

NBC has had a rocky past with the stand-up competition series since it first aired in 2003. The Peacock Network canceled the series in 2004, brought it back in 2006, axed it again comedy tour 2014 in 2008, and revived it once more in 2010. Past contestants have included

Amy Schumer, Ralphie May and Kathleen Madigan.

Now the reality series will return to NBC’s summer programming block next year where it aired every season except for one during its original run.

NBC has not announced a host nor specific premiere date for the new season of “Last Comic Standing.”
